Updated: Saturday night, December 29th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for Cambria and Somerset Counties until 1 p.m. Sunday for the continued risk of snowfall. Many communities saw 2-4" snow with spots in the Laurel Highlands seeing as much as 6" of new snow.

We'll get a break for the latter half of Sunday and most of Monday before a disturbance moves in late, bringing with it another round of light snowfall that will last until Tuesday. New Years Day will have flurries or snow showers.

Arctic air will move in for the latter half of the week, bringing high temperatures in the low and mid 20s and overnight lows in the teens. A few communities late next week could see low temperatures in the single digits.
