One of the fundraisers Marines are involved in, brings mini-Christmas trees to the lobby in the Altoona Ramada. Area businesses decorate the tree and make a donation to the program. Sargeant Huffman with the Marines says that even though he's only been involved with Toys for Tots for a year, it's been an experience he'll never forget.

"...My experience has been outstanding, to see the public support, the overwhelming amount of money and toys that the public gives to ensure that they're fellow public citizen has a good Christmas. It just overwhelms me every day I come out to do this."

During the tree lighting ceremony earlier Wednesday evening, the Ramada presented a check to the Marines for $9,500, which will go to help underprivileged kids.
