Updated Tuesday Morning, February 26th
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller

Another storm system approaching the region will bring us a mix during the afternoon.  That mix may start to move into the Laurel Highlands and southern Beford county by noon, then overspread the region from southwest to northeast as the afternoon progresses.

Tonight we will have an icy/ rain mix to the east of I-99 and a snow/ mix to the west of I-99 as well as along the I-80 corridor.  Snow accumulations will range from little or nothing in the valleys east of I-99 to 2-4" west of I-99 and near I-80. 4-8" of snow with isolated higher amounts are possible in the north central mountains as well as far northern parts of the state.

On Wednesday that early steadier mix ends as scattered rain or snow showers that will still be around in spots during the day.  There will be a good deal of clouds, but there could also be some peeks of sunshine to the south. That combined with a west-southwesterly flow will help push temperatures briefly into the 40s.

Thursday will start to turn colder with an early high near 40 and colder temps later in the day.  There could be some scattered snow showers around.  Friday expect a few snow showers and flurries with highs in the low to mid 30s.  Saturday clouds may break at times, but there could still be flurries or a snow shower around.  Temps will only range from the upper 20s to low 30s.
