Updated: Saturday evening, February 9th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Sunshine has been abundant this afternoon, but temperatures only reached into the low 30s across the region today. It will be chilly during the overnight hours with few clouds and temps in the teens and near the single digits.

Clouds will increase Sunday with the next disturbance moving in for the overnight hours. There is a possibility of freezing rain or drizzle late Sunday night, but this is looking like more of a rain event than a snow event. There will be periods of rain Monday, but it will taper going into Monday evening and temperatures will be mild, with some communities close to 50. Some communities could see a snow shower late Monday and early Tuesday.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds. Models are showing a disturbance brushing past us to the south Wednesday. There will be rain or snow showers associated with this disturbance.
