HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Hundreds of people braved the frigid waters for a Winter Plunge.

Penn State Altoona hosted their first Winter Plunge Sunday at Canoe Creek State Park. All the money raised goes to the Alumni Association and THON.

Some people showed up in costume, some in body paint, but most folks had a good time. Emergency crews had to use a chainsaw to cut a hole in the ice for people to take the plunge.

The fundraiser total hasn't been added up yet.
