ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY - This wintry weather is impacting much of the area and one event was worried about the snow affecting its turnout.

But despite the snow, the Blair County Convention Center's parking lot was packed on Friday for "Discover The Dinosaurs". Dozens turned out to check out the prehistoric beasts. Taylor Hughes is the Assistant Manager of Discover The Dinosaurs. He says they expected less people to turnout on Friday than this weekend, but say the snow might have actually brought more folks in...

"...Typically weather doesn't really tamper with our business too much, so people really want to see it. I mean, something like this doesn't come around very often, so it's something cool and different and it's nice in the winter cause it's an indoor exhibit. It gives you something to do while it's snowing, you can hang out here and look at dinosaurs..."

Discover The Dinosaurs runs throughout this weekend at the Blair County Convention Center in Allegheny Township. Saturday's hours are 10 am to 8 pm. Sunday's event is from 10 am to 7 pm. Tickets are available at the door.
