One Blair County coach is taking his talents to the international stage helping some special athletes compete on ice.

John Kauffman's packing his bags for South Korea.

Kauffman is the head ice skating coach of Team - USA  at the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games starting later this week in Seoul .

He'll join more than 2,500 athletes from 105 nations.

What's the best part?
Kauffman says,  "I'd have to say the memories. All the memories, and the good times and the stories that I come back with it's just great."

When he comes back, this Roaring Spring resident will next coach these local Special Olympians at the Pennsylvania Winter Games.  They are set for February 10-12, 2013 in Johnstown.

He's a very patient and fun coach and one who's always inspiring these Special Olympians to do the best you can; be the best you can be at that time.
