It's no surprise that the shelves of your library are full of great resources for people of all kinds, but for the next few weeks, so will the community room at the Schlow Centre Region Library.

Starting next week, it will be the home of a class called "Tuning in to Kids: Raising Emotionally Intelligent Children".

This 6-week program helps you build and practice emotionally responsive parenting skills. TIK-style parental interaction helps children learn to think about and manage their feelings.

They'll cover topics like: Understanding your child's emotional experience, Problem-solving and self-care for caregivers, and Emotion coaching your child's anger.

The program size is limited for the most effective discussion and practice, and you must pre-register.

Classes start January 15th and run through February 19th.
