Visiting Santa can be an overwhelming and sometimes stressful event for children, especially for those with special needs, which is why the Autism Task Force at St. Francis University is stepping up to lend a hand to those families.

Amy Hudkins, an Occupational Therapy Instructor, and April Fry, an Accessibility Services Coordinator talked to Sarah about "Sensitive Santa", a sensory-friendly Jolly Old St. Nick, with fun activities for the whole family.

At the event, kids will be able to bounce on a therapy ball to help regulate levels of excitement.  They will be able to feel Santa's beard, gloves, and hat prior to seeing him.  This can help reduce some anxiety, they can also try the items on to see what it's like to be Santa.

The event also features complimentary gluten-free, casein-free refreshments, resources for parents, and a complimentary photo with Santa.
