LORETTO, Pa. - Keion Wade and Khairi Dickson of the Saint Francis University football team picked up Northeast Conference honors Monday after the Red Flash racked up 457 rushing yards against Morehead State.

Wade led the way for a SFU rushing attack that rolled up 457 yards against the Eagles. The senior running back, who stepped into the starting role when Kyle Harbirdge was lost for the season, ran 27 times for 243 yards and three touchdowns in a 57-23 road win against Pioneer League member Morehead State. Wade's three touchdown runs helped the Red Flash turn a 17-0 deficit into a 28-23 lead by the 4:54 mark of the third quarter. Wade racked up 232 yards of his rushing total in the final three quarters and early in the second half he produced a 40-yard scoring sprint, pulling his team within 23-21. Wade rushing total ranks as the third-best single game total in the Football Championship Subdivision this season.

Dickson was not 100 percent health wise, but found a way to help out the SFU dominant rushing attack in a convincing non-conference victory against the Morehead State Eagles. The freshman ball carrier, who was slowed by injury, ran the ball 11 times for 42 yards and one touchdown. His efforts were part of a 457-yard rushing performance from the Red Flash offense. On his way to securing the NEC Rookie of the Week award for a second week in a row, the 6-foot freshman accounted for four of the Flash's 26 rushing first downs and accounted for first-down runs on three separate touchdown drives. Dickson, Wade and John Kelly rank as the only three-player tandem in the nation to rank in the top 50 nationally in rushing.

The Red Flash return to action Saturday when they travel to Maryland to take on nationally ranked Towson under the lights in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
