BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY - Former Penn State wide receiver Devon Smith will be allowed to enter a program that would clear him of drug charges.

Smith's attorney tells WTAJ that he'll be approved for the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, or ARD.

Last week, Smith was dismissed from Penn State football. In March, Smith had his apartment raided by university police.

Officers found marijuana and drug supplies in his possession.
