Pirates Beat Phillies Again, Take Series

(Pittsburgh) - Andrew McCutchen went 3-4 including a game winning RBI single, as the Pirates beat the Phillies in their last at bat for the 2nd consecutive day with a 5-4 win.

Former Curve 1st baseman Matt Hague tied the game at 4 in the 8th inning with his first major league hit, and RBI single to left.

The Pirates trailed 4-1 in the 7th inning, but a put a 4 run rally together in the final 3 innings to take 2 out of 3 from the defending N.L. East Champs.

James McDonald went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits in his first start of the season.

The Pirates will now begin a 9 game road trip in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
