By: Kellie Goodman
Updated: September 12, 2007
Tyrone remains the highest-ranked local team in their classification, according to the Pennsylvania Football News Week 3 rankings.

The Golden Eagles are tabbed #4 in the double-a list after last week's 18-0 win over Huntingdon.  Tyrone is 2-0 preparing to face Penns Valley this weekend.  The Tyrone defense has not allowed a point through the first two weeks of the 2007 campaign.

In Quad-A, Altoona jumped into the top ten with their first win over Harrisburg since joining the Mid Penn Conference.  The Mountain Lions defeated the Cougars, 24-14 last Friday night at Mansion Park.  Altoona is #10 in the big-school rankings.  They travel to PFN "One to Watch" Cumberland Valley this week.   More a complete look at the rankings, including local teams listed as "Ones to Watch", click here.
