Here's a pre-season look at the area's 2006 Champions:

State College Little Lions:  2006 District III-VI AAAA Champions
  •  Head Coach: Al Wolski
  •  2006 Record: 12-3
  •  Lost extremely successful senior class, including now-Penn State linebacker Nate Stupar
  •  Opens season Saturday September 1st at Cedar Cliff

Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers:  2006 District VI-AAA Champions
  •  Head Coach: John Barton
  • 2006 Record: 8-5
  • Joined Mountain Athletic Conference after playing an independent schedule in '06
  • Open season at Punxsutawney

Bishop McCort Crimson Crushers:  2006 District V-VI-AA Champions
  • Head Coach: Ken Salem
  • 2006 Record: 11-2
  • Has Appeared in District Final 4 of the last 5 years, winning twice
  • Open the season hosting Laurel Highlands Rival, Forest Hills at Point Stadium

Brookville Raiders: 2006 District IX-AA Champions
  • Head Coach: Chris Dworek
  • 2006 Record: 11-2
  • Has won district title in 2 of the last 3 years
  • Open the season at Philipsburg-Osceola

Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils: 2006 District VI-A Champions
  • Head Coach: John Hayes
  • 2006 Record: 11-3
  • Has appeared in 3 straight district championship games, winning in 2005 & '07
  • Open the season hosting rival, Tyrone in their traditional "Backyard Brawl"
Meyersdale Red Raiders: 2006 District V-A Champions

  • New Head Coach: Chris Schrock
  • 2006 Record: 11-1
  • Completed best season in school history last year (1st 10-win campaign)
  • Open the season hosting Conemaugh Township
