Penn State Seeks Stadium Personnel

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., July 10, 2007 -- Persons interested in working as gate attendants, parkers and ushers during Penn State’s 2007 home football season can sign up in person or via telephone.

Full-time gate attendants are paid an hourly rate and remain at their posts throughout the game.   Parkers are paid an hourly rate and receive admission to the game.  Ushers are paid a game fee and receive admission to the game.

Interested persons may sign up in person in 103 XY Bryce Jordan Center on campus, or can telephone the athletic business office at 814-863-0270.  Persons must submit I-9 paperwork before beginning to work.

All stadium workers must be at least 16 years of age.  High school students must have working papers secured through their high schools.

Penn State kicks off its 2007 football season Sept. 1 against Florida International at 12:00 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.  The Nittany Lions play seven games in Beaver Stadium this year, with five home contests against 2006 bowl teams.
