Curwensville is a small town with a huge passion for high school sports.

This week, hundreds of Golden Tide faithful are expected to make the trip to Shippensburg to see the varsity softball team play Upper Dauphin for the PIAA-Class A softball championship.

It's the first time in program history that Curwensville has advanced to the state title game.  The Golden Tide are 24-2 this season, having won the District 9 championship.

Game time 2pm Friday at Robb Field, Shippensburg University.
