Pick a time frame in that period, let's say the first term in college, the first year of your marriage, the month you went on a memorable road trip and were caught in the snow, and see what the snow and ice cover was. It might drum up memories of a snow storm you experienced or an epic snowball fight you had after a storm swept through your town.
