PUNXSUTAWNEY,JEFFERSON COUNTY - This Thanksgiving the shelves at Comet Market in Punxsutawney will not be bare from shoppers picking up the last supplies they need for their Holiday meal; instead, the shelves will be nearly empty because after 50 years in business the store has been forced to close.

The owners say changes in the grocery store market and a down turn in the economy has driven them to this tough decision. They no longer are making enough money to have it make sense to stay open.

More on the store closing will air Tuesday Night on WTAJ News.
