Shadduck Cemetery

BYRNEDALE, ELK COUNTY - Trick or treaters in Elk County beware they are in for quite the scare. The men who create Shadduck's Cemetery are at it again turning their Byrnedale yard into a sppoky place filled with bewitching characters, bloody heads, and over 30 tombstones.
"We start about the middle September and we work on it clear up to Halloween " said co-creator Kevin Shadduck.
"The smile on kids face; just the wow factor how they go "wow". They're so amused " adds creator Russ Hetrick.
They have been creating the display for ten years and this year holds special meaning. It is dedicated to Savannah Straub of Saint Marys who died in July when a car she was in hit a tree in their front yard.
"She was a good family friend and her relatives said she was into Halloween. We weren't going to have Halloween this year, but they said do it and that so I decided to do a dedication in her memory. We hope her relatives like what we did " said Shadduck.
Byrnedale's Halloween is this Sunday October 28.
