Jackie Becerra (Saddle Brook, NJ) and Janna Stoup (Carlisle, Pa.) each scored a pair of goals to lead the Lady Cat soccer team to a 4-0 shutout over visiting Concord (WV) University to open WVIAC-play, Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats improved to 4-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the WVIAC.

Becerra netted both of her goals in the first half. The first came in the 12th minute off of a rebound from Concord goalkeeper Kaitlyn Wasylko. Becerra then made it 2-0 at the break when she finished a scramble in the box in the 31st minute.

Stoup took over for Becerra in the second half. Stoup's lob over Wasylko in the 75th minute increased the Lady Cat lead to 3-0, before she finished the scoring and set the final at 4-0 with a blast inside the left post just over a minute later.

Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) earned the shutout in goal for Pitt-Johnstown and improved to 4-1-0. Shiock faced 12 shots and made four saves. Wasylko suffered the loss for Concord, which dropped to 0-4-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference-play, after allowing all four goals. She made four saves and saw 21 Lady Cat shots.
