CAMBRIA TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Central Cambria High School's football players have been working hard to get things ready both on and off the fields.

"A few weeks ago the doors were all rusted and it just didn't look good," said senior Tyler Gironda.  "We wanted to change it and make it a nice place to enjoy the games."

"We've painted the doors, the fence redid all of the CC's on the pavement," said senior Nicholas Meyers.

"Before the field looked dump and now there is more life to it," said senior Pete Schaffer.

The players and their parents took it upon themselves to make the field and stadium look more appealing, even if that meant they had to get a little dirty.

"I don't blame the school especially with all of the budget cuts," said Claudia Gironda V.P of Boosters.  "They don't have the man power, instead of having it look bad we took it upon ourselves to take care of it."

"I really like it and I hope people will come out and support after they've seen how hard we've been working," said Schaffer.
