UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. -- Jordan's Steranka's decision to return for his senior year of Penn State baseball pays off. He was drafted in the 30th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros in 2011, but he decided to play his final year at Penn State.

Steranka (Mount Lebanon, PA) leads the team in almost every offensive category and ranks in the top three in several Big Ten categories as well, and he has helped lead the Nittany Lions to the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten tournament that starts on May 23.

He has already broken Penn State's at-bats and on base records, and is just seven hits shy of breaking the all-time hits record with the conference tournament left.
