Altoona Curve and Weis Markets Team Up

With locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland, and New York, Weis Markets has two stores in the Altoona area in the Park Hills Plaza and at 601 Pleasant Valley Boulevard. Founded in 1912, Weis Markets currently employs approximately 18,000 associates and is headquartered just a short drive from Altoona in Sunbury, Pa. Fans can stop into either Altoona location to make their purchases for Curve Opening Night tickets.
Fans will receive one complimentary pair of tickets for all purchases of $10 or more (not for each $10 on their final bill) and the rush runs while supplies last at local Weis Markets.
The Curve open their 14th season of play against the Erie SeaWolves at 6:30 p.m. on April 5 at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The first 5,000 fans through the gates for the season opener will receive a 2012 Schedule Magnet and the evening's main event will be followed by postgame fireworks and kids can run the bases. Opening Night is also a Thirsty Thursday presented by Rocky 104.9, as well, with specially priced select 16 oz. draft specials and half off small sodas at ballpark concession stands.
Mini plans, flex books, single-game, and season tickets are on sale now for the 2012 Altoona Curve season at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Curve begin the new campaign with a six-game homestand from Thursday the 5th through Wednesday, April 11 hosting Erie (AA - Detroit Tigers) and the Akron Aeros (AA - Cleveland Indians).
