STATE COLLEGE, PA. -- State College High boys and girls varsity basketball fall to Shaler as part of the Lady Little Lions Pink Zone event on Saturday.

The boys lost a physical game to the Titans, 50-41.  State College played without Kyle Kanaskie for the third straight game. He is out with the flu. Bryan Sekunda led the way for State High with 10 points. Penn State basketball head coach Pat Chambers was in attendance to watch Shaler's leading scorer, junior guard Geno Thorpe who committed to Penn State in November. He had a game-high 17 points with 15 of those coming in the second half.

The girls game followed, and the Lady Little Lions lost a hard-fought contest, 49-44. Taylor Allison led State College with 18 points while Shaler's Ashley Dumachowski also had 18.

Both JV teams also faced Shaler's JV teams as part of the day-long Pink Zone event sponsored by the State College girls basketball team, and they are proud to announce that a total of just over $5200 was raised on Saturday.
