PITTSBURGH (AP) - Aaron Harang tossed a two-hitter and the
Cincinnati Reds homered twice in an 8-0 rout of Pittsburgh.
Harang fired his fourth career shutout while going at least
eight innings for the ninth time this season. He struck out eight
and improved to 11-and-3 lifetime against the Pirates.
Ken Griffey put the Reds in front with a three-run homer in the
top of the first. Brandon Phillips added a solo blast as the Reds
bounced back from Tuesday's doubleheader loss to the Bucs.
Ian Snell was lifted in the sixth, charged with seven runs and
ten hits to fall to 8-and-11. Snell has dropped six of his last
seven decisions.
