The Pittsburgh Steelers have worked out a
contract with first-round draft pick Lawrence Timmons, one day
before they become the first N-F-L team to open training camp.

The outside linebacker has accepted a five-year contract that
could be worth as much as 15 (m) million dollars. The deal
guarantees him over eight (m) million dollars in bonus money.

Timmons is just the third first-round pick in the April draft to
reach contract teams, and the first in the upper half of the draft.
He was selected 15th overall following an outstanding college
career at Florida State.
