Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton
Sunshine will make an appearance for part of the region Saturday, but will be replaced by periods of light snow in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 20s after the cold start with winds diminishing through the day. The snow will stay through the evening and into Sunday, with the Laurel Highlands receiving the most snow while some communities may only receive a dusting. Communities west of I-99 will see the trace-2" with locations east seeing less than 1 inch if anything.
Snow will taper off Sunday and we'll have some flurries Monday with temperatures both days in the mid to upper 20s. We will have low temperatures Monday and Tuesday morning in the teens.
As temperatures warm to near freezing Tuesday a weak disturbance will move through, bringing some rain or snow showers depending on where you are.
Wednesday and Thursday will be the dry days in the coming week, with a mix of sun and clouds both days (looking like more sun Thursday) and temperatures in the mid and upper 30s.
