Updated Friday Midday, February 1st
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller

It's a windy cold start to February.  Today's highs will only be in the upper teens to low 20s.  Snow showers will begin waning in the afternoon.  We will see some sun breaking through at times today in southeastern zones.  Winds will still be blowing at 15-25 mph with gusts around 30 mph or better in spots.

Tonight the winds die down and it gets colder with lows in the single digits to low teens.  It will be variably cloudy with still a snow shower around on the ridges.

For Groundhog day, Punxsutawney Phil will have a partly cloudy sky early which means there is a good chance he will see his shadow.  It will be a bitter start for folks in Punxsutawney as well with temps possibly dipping into the single digits to start the day.

By tomorrow afternoon, it becomes mostly cloudy and some snow will start to develop as a light system moves in spreading snowfall through the night and lasting into Sunday as well.   We will see new light to moderate accumulations through Sunday.    Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 20s to around 30.

On Monday, we will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with another round of light snow developing by evening.  Highs will be in the mid 30s.
