A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until to 11 a.m. Wednesday for the vast majority of our viewing area. We will see periods of snow and sleet during the overnight hours and into Wednesday morning. Snow accumulations will be 2-4" for many communities with more than 4" possible in a few locations. The snow is not the big concern as the roads may be difficult to navigate in the morning.
This system will push through during the overnight hours and will have moved on by Wednesday afternoon/evening. The sky will clear somewhat Wednesday night, but the pattern is changing going into Thursday as another disturbance will push in from the northwest. This system will bring more flurries and temperatures in the low to mid 30s.
The weather pattern we're entering involves a series of disturbances moving into Pennsylvania from Canada, bringing flurries, snow showers, and colder air. That pattern will be the big influence on temperatures Friday even as an area of high pressure moves in from the south. Some light snow could be seen in north of I-80 and high temps in the upper 20s and low 30s.
The high pressure will bring a "warm" day Saturday with sun and clouds and high temperatures in the mid and upper 30s.
Temperatures will take another tumble Sunday as yet another disturbance moves in bringing the possibility of snow and temperatures for next week will stay in the 20s for highs, even possibly in the teens.
