Central Pennsylvania will have some flurries throughout today and clouds will break for some sun, but winds will be strong at times as well. Sustained westerly winds of 15-30 mph and gusts around 40 mph will keep wind chills in the teens and low 20s. High temperatures across the region will be in the upper 20s and low 30s.

This relatively-tranquil period will last into the weekend with occasional flurries, but the best chance for snow is late Saturday and early Sunday morning as a weak disturbance will move through. Beyond that temperatures will start climbing into the 40s by the middle of the week.

Forecast models are split on the timing of the next disturbance, but it will be arriving in the latter half of the week. Good news from this is that it will be in the form of rain for the lower elevations, not snow. It might be too warm for ski hills, and there is a possibility of rain or a rain/snow mix falling on area slopes.
