We won't go over a temperature cliff, but more of a slide going into 2013. Snow showers and flurries will be around for part of New Years Day and clouds will break in the afternoon. Temperatures won't be as warm as New Years Eve, but in the mid 30s in a few locations.

As the sky clears, the temperatures will start sliding, with low temperatures in the teens and high temperatures in the mid and upper 20s lasting into the weekend. A disturbance will move through Thursday night and into Friday morning, bringing the potential for some light snow, but we will be staying dry for the most.
