Updated: Saturday Morning, December, 29th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

We'll have snow at varying rates through a good portion of the day on Saturday before tapering to scattered flurries and snow showers for Saturday night into Sunday. Accumulations through Saturday night will be generally 2-4" with around 6" across some of the higher terrain along the Laurel Highlands and north of I-80. Because of this the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire region through 7pm Saturday. Temperatures Saturday will fail to rise higher than the lower 30s with the mercury holding in the 20s on Sunday. We'll have another break Sunday night into early Monday then another disturbance will bring a light snow fall to the area later Monday into early Tuesday. Behind that system we'll have another break later Tuesday into Wednesday. It will remain cold with highs near 30. An arctic front will bring some snow showers on Thursday with an even sharper blast of cold air later next week.
