PENN STATE, UNIVERSITY PARK - A group of students marched in a single-file, silent line Thursday to encourage diversity on Penn State's campus.

The newly formed group, PSU for All Student Equality, aims to bring students from multicultural groups, advocacy groups, and other students concerned with diversity on Penn State's campus, together to speak out against social inequality.

About 30 students, faculty and staff participated in the march Thursday.

The walk came about after what's being called a "racially insensitive" picture surfaced on social media showing the sisters of Penn State's Chi Omega sorority dressed up at a Mexican-themed Halloween Party.

Organizers say the photo did contribute to the idea for the walk, but wasn't the only reason for it.
