Updated Monday Morning, February 18th
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller
Plenty of sunshine will be around for President's Day. After a very cold start in the single digits, temps will rise into the mid to upper 30s. Tonight will be mainly clear early with some increasing clouds & mixed showers moving in to western parts of the region late. There could be a coating to an inch or so by morning along the western part of the I-80 corridor.
Tomorrow a wintry mix early with change to snow and rain showers. there could be 1-3 inches by nighttime along the 1-80 corridor with a coating to an inch or so along the Laurel Highlands and to the west of I-99.
Wednesday will become windy and colder with some snow showers and flurries around (esp. along the western ridges). Highs will only be in the mid to upper 20s. Thursday early clouds and flurries will give way to sunshine. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s.
There is a chance that a late week / early weekend storm could move close enough to the region to give us a mix on Friday night or Saturday, but it is still too early to tell at this point.
