Updated Midday Wednesday, January 30th
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller
Some rain and a few gusty storms have moved through. Some winds associated with storms that moved through parts of Blair, Cambria, Somerset, Huntingdon and Bedford counties had wind gust of 60 mph+
Because of the rain and already saturated ground, along with continued snow melt, a Flood Watch has been issued for this afternoon through tomorrow morning for much of the region.
Behind the system it will turn sharply colder. Tonight will be very windy with gust up to 35 mph. Rain will mix with or change to snow showers late, and there could be an inch or two accumulation by morning in areas west of I-99.
Winds continue tomorrow and it will be getting colder. Highs will average in the low to mid 30s early and fall into the 20s later in the day. We'll have snow showers as well.
Friday will be in the low 20s. Some locations will struggle to get out of the teens. We'll have flurries and perhaps a few snow showers around. A disturbance moving through for Saturday evening/ overnight into Sunday will bring us another chance for some light snow.
