Updated: Wednesday Evening, January, 9th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

A dying cold front brought some clouds and some rain and light freezing rain to places this morning, but behind the front, clouds broke for some sunshine during the afternoon with a gusty wind. Temperatures rebounded into the 40s today and will only drop into the upper 20s tonight with a clear to partly cloudy sky and a bit of a brisk wind.  Behind this front, temperatures will still sneak into the lower 40s in most spots on Thursday with sunshine mixing with clouds. Another dying front will push a band of showers into the region later Thursday night into Friday. With clouds, precipitation and a southeasterly flow, temperatures Friday will have a tough time reaching higher than the lower 40s. Behind that disturbance, Saturday will be even warmer with some sunshine and a southerly flow pushing temperatures into the 50s. There's a slight chance for a shower Saturday but a better chance for a couple of rounds of showers Sunday into Monday as a front slowly moves into the region. This front will stall close to the region on Tuesday and that will bring us a chillier rainfall. Cold air will continue to press into the region with rain and snow showers Wednesday followed by much colder air later next week.
