Updated: Saturday Morning, January, 5th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

The wind will diminish a bit Saturday which will help it to feel a little bit milder. We'll also have a mix of clouds and sunshine with more sunshine to the south and more clouds near and north of I-80. A couple of flurries can not be ruled out, especially in those northern areas. A disturbance will bring more numerous flurries and snow showers Saturday night into Sunday bringing a coating to an inch or so of new snow to some locations. There will still be some clouds and flurries early Monday, then the rest of the day will become partly sunny and not quite as cold with highs in the upper 30s. A January thaw will kick in the rest of next week. With some sunshine and a southwesterly breeze, temperatures will push into the middle 40s Tuesday and the middle to perhaps upper 40s for Wednesday. A storm system will bring an increase in cloudiness Wednesday followed by rain showers Wednesday night into Thursday. Behind that disturbance it will stay unseasonably mild through the end of next week.
