Updated: Thursday Night, January, 3rd
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

There will still be some leftover flurries on Friday; otherwise the day will be cloudy to partly sunny and windy with highs in the 20s to near 30. Milder air will build in the middle of the nation and try to press into the region starting this weekend. Initially this will leave us in a battlezone between air masses with some clouds and a slight chance for flurries on Saturday. There will be a stronger disturbance bringing flurries and snow showers Sunday. Behind that disturbance there may be a couple of leftover flurries Monday but then some sunshine and a southwesterly flow will help a January thaw to start. Temperatures will reach into the upper 30s on Monday and then into the lower 40s on Tuesday and the middle 40s on Wednesday. Right now it looks like Thursday will also be mild with the chance for showers.
