Updated Wednesday Morning, January 2nd
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller

We have a pretty quiet pattern in place for the start of the new year.  Today we'll have early clouds and a cold start with temperatures in the teens in most locations.  For this afternoon, expect a mix of clouds and sun.  Near and north of I-80 clouds will be more persistent.  Temperatures will be quite cold, only topping out in the low to mid 20s.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the teens once again.  Tomorrow we will have sun mixing with some late day clouds.  It won't be quite as cold with highs in the upper 20s to around 30.

There could be some flurries or a stray snow shower on Thursday night into Friday as a weak disturbances passes.  Highs on Friday will make it into the upper 20s.  We'll have a brisk wind with clouds and some flurries around early, then some sunshine.

Saturday will be mostly then partly sunny and slightly warmer with temps in the low to mid 30s.  Saturday night into Sunday, another weak disturbance may bring us some flurries or a snow shower.  Sunday will remain mostly cloudy with highs in the low 30s.

Early next week high pressure will give us some sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures.
