This latest winter storm has moved through, but some snow is moving back in from the northwest that will impact part of the region during the overnight hours. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for Cambria and Somerset Counties until 1 p.m. Sunday for the continued risk of snowfall. Many communities saw 2-4" snow with spots in the Laurel Highlands seeing as much as 6" of new snow.

We'll get a break for most of Sunday and Monday before a disturbance moves in Monday evening, bringing with it another round of light snowfall that will last until Tuesday morning. Once the snow ends New Years Day we will be dry until Wednesday at the earliest.

Arctic air will move in for the latter half of the week, bringing high temperatures in the low and mid 20s and overnight lows in the teens. A few communities late next week could see low temperatures in the single digits. Right now the sky looks to be clear for the latter half of next week, but I'm not completely ruling out the chance of snow for that time frame.
