A weak disturbance can still bring some flurries early Wednesday then clouds will try to break for at least some peeks of sunshine Wednesday afternoon. As long as we see some sunshine temperatures will be able to rebound back into the lower to middle 40s. A stronger front will approach the area on Thursday. Clouds will quickly increase early in the day with rain developing during the afternoon. Some of the rainfall could be heavy later Thursday into Thursday night and a couple rumbles of thunder can not be ruled out. Behind the cold front, Friday and Saturday will be windy and cold with plenty of clouds with numerous flurries and snow showers. The snow showers will be most numerous near and west of Route 219 and there could be some travel problems over some of the higher ridges. Sunday will still be cold with some clouds and flurries. Monday will be chilly despite some sunshine with temperatures returning to the middle 30s for Christmas Day.
