We're in an impressively warm weather pattern for December. Temperatures today started off with a record high low temperature of 49 which broke the old record of 45 set in 1982. With clouds breaking for a little sunshine today and a southwesterly wind, temperatures reached up into the lower 50s. Tonight will be another near record warm night with some clouds and only a slight chance for a sprinkle in spots. Temperatures will not drop much below the 50 degree mark in most locations. Tuesday will be windy and warm despite an increase cloudiness. A cold front will start to bring in some showers from the west later in the day and showers are likely Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Behind the front, the colder air may arrive quick enough for the showers to end as flurries early Wednesday. Otherwise, the rest of Wednesday will be windy and colder with clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will hold steady or slowly fall on Wednesday. A bubble of high pressure will give us a good deal of sunshine on Thursday with seasonable highs in the lower 40s. The bright weather will not last long as clouds will increase again on Friday with a slow moving storm system bringing the chance for rain for the upcoming weekend.
