Another Area Hospital Restricting Visitors

The State Health Department says seven people in our region have died of flu -related causes  since September.
 
Three of the deaths occurred in Centre County last week.  Bedford, Blair, Jefferson, and Somerset all reported one death in the past couple of weeks.
 
Meantime, another area hospital is modifying its visitation policy due to the flu. Effective immediately, JC Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon is restricting visits to people 16 and older, immediate family, and caregivers of patients. If the patient they're visiting has flu symptoms, they must wear a mask.

Only two people at a time can visit a patient and all visitors must stop first at the nursing station.
Only parents and grandparents can visit the maternity unit and must wear a mask.
