DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Lacy and Frank Magagnotti of Punxsutawney say they did not expect to have a New Year's baby. Their little girl was not due until January 29. When Lacy began having some pains they headed to the hospital and found out their baby was going to be born.
At 3:30 in the morning Mia Adeline was born weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.
The family says they were surprised, but are blessed she is here with them now and are excited she was the first baby of the New Year.
They received multiple gifts from the hospital and local businesses, but another surprise came when the 2012 New Year's baby brought them a present.
They say they plan to pass it on and deliver a gift to next year's 2014 first baby of the year.
