(UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.) - The Penn State men's basketball team increased its roster to 15 with the addition of senior walk-on forward Kevin Onyeaka (Harrisburg, Pa.).
A 2009 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School, Onyeaka joined the Nittany Lions through the open walk-on tryouts held in late October. A 6-5, 205-pound forward, he was a two-season starter and team captain at the Penn State Mont Alto campus before matriculating to the Penn State main campus in 2011. Mont Alto is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Onyeaka was one of the team's leading scorers and rebounders during his sophomore campaign.
He played four years at CD East, helping lead the team to a district championship and the second round of the state championships in his senior season. He is a senior academically majoring in telecommunications at Penn State.
