ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - A group of volunteers want to make sure some students in the Altoona Area District are prepared for life after high school.  With more on the special program to equip the students with skills they will need to enter the workforce.  Hundreds of students had the chance today to be interviewed by the sort of the business or school leaders that could play a big part in shaping the teens' future.

The multi-media lab of Altoona Area High School was taken over early on Tuesday for a series of practice interviews. Students taking part called the interviews valuable experience. These mock interviews were scheduled with the help of the district's school to career committee

The students had the chance to find out what it feels like to move from the classroom to the business world. The business volunteers who make the program work say they are able to offer some practical advice and important feed back.

A number of the students taking part said the practice interviews will make them more comfortable in the future.  Leading up to these mock interviews, the students have been working on resumes, dealing with job applications and developing interview skills.
