ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Altoona's illegal immigrant ordinance may now be unconstitutional.
Mayor Bill Schirf says the city solicitor thinks so. After the Supreme Court struck down the Arizona ordinance earlier this week, it set a precedent that could affect Altoona's.
Altoona based their ordinance on the one in Hazleton. The courts will take a look at that ordinance in August.
Mayor Schirf says Altoona will take a look at theirs after that hearing and may have to take it off the books.

Since all these laws are based on Federal Illegal Immigration laws I can't see how they could be un-Constitutional if the Federal Laws are Constitutional.
