BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY - Judge John Cleland ruled that Jerry Sandusky's attorneys can call an expert witness to explain Sandusky's behavior.

Joe Amendola says that Sandusky has Histrionic Personality Disorder. The medical dictionary says people with the disorder are overly dramatic and emotional, act overly seductive, and are constantly seeking approval. He says that is why Sandusky acts strangely around and wrote letters to the accusers. He says that he was not grooming them for sex, as the commonwealth has said.

Judge Cleland is allowing the defense's expert testimony to explain the disorder, but he said Sandusky has to make himself available for a psychological examination by the prosecution's experts.
