Vote for ESPN College Gameday to Film a Commercial at Penn State This Summer

By: Bob Patterson
Updated: April 23, 2012
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- For the first time ever, fans can help bring ESPN to Penn State for the filming opportunity of a lifetime. ESPN College GameDay is holding a nationwide vote to decide the college campus where one of its commercials will be shot this summer - and Nittany Lion fans can help make Penn State be that campus.

Fans may vote once per day during the 10-day span from April 23-May 2 by going to www.GameDayVote.com or by visiting the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/collegegameday. Voting began Monday at noon and a live-updated leaderboard will be posted so Nittany Lion fans can spread the word to current students, alumni and friends to vote for Penn State.

The winner will be announced shortly after voting ends on Wednesday, May 2.

The voting is open to all Football Bowl Subdivision schools across the country and the rules are simple - the school with the most votes wins.  The winning campus will be featured in a College GameDay ad that will include students from the selected school and run on all ESPN networks in the fall.

Coach Bill O'Brien's Nittany Lions concluded spring practice last Saturday as an estimated 60,000 fans attended the Blue-White Game. O'Brien, Patrick Chambers, Coquese Washington and several more head coaches begin the seven state, 18-stop Penn State Coaches Caravan Monday, April 30 with two events in Philadelphia. Go to www.GoPSUsports.com for more information on the Coaches Caravan.
