Penn State Coach Interviews in Michigan

MICHIGAN -- According to the Detroit Free Press, Penn State Lady Lions Head Coach Coquese Washington interviewed on April 11th for the same position at the University of Michigan. 

Penn State Athletic Director David Joyner confirmed to the Free Press that Michigan asked for and was granted permission to speak with Washington about its vacancy.

Dave Albauf, Michigan Associate Athletic Director of Media Relations would not confirm anything.

Former Michigan coach Kevin Borseth resigned last week.

Washington has history in Michigan where she attended Flint Central High School and was an all-state basketball player.
